Transplant Ahead
One day he was working as a sales support supervisor at Target, the next Michael Sykes was undergoing a five-hour kidney transplant. He's grateful to the donor and indebted to the clinic staff who took care of him during the 15 months he was undergoing dialysis. “I can't thank them enough for everything they did to make my life as normal as possible. Their first concern was always my well-being. I'm not a dialysis patient any more,” Michael says, “but I'll still be visiting them all the time.”
